Abstract: The main reason for this study was to investigate the relationship between mother-child interaction during storybook reading and emerging literacy among 90 children (boys and girls) aged 3 to 4 years. The result of this study revealed that mother-child interaction had a significant relationship with the emerging literacy of children. Implications for future research are discussed.
