Abstract: This paper proposes a robust digital image watermarking scheme based on the remainder of wavelet blocks. At first, the original image is decomposed into ten sub-bands bythe 3-level wavelet transform. Then, the values of wavelet coefficients are quantized. By increasing the divisor and size of blocks, it is possible to embed watermark in the host image with more energy; However, this will lead to PSNR reduction. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm has an agood resistance against common attacks, especially JPEG compression; Moreover, it outperforms previous methods in most situations
