Abstract: The study is to evaluate the amount of dolomite in sludge volume index (SVI) reduction and effluentwastewater quality in aerobic systems using artificial neural network. The SBR system was performed in a vessel of 48 L volume and experiments were performed forcomprehensive investigations. The COD, turbidity, and phosphor removal efficiency and SVIreduction were examined using artificial neural networks through 100 data sets collections. The most favorable neural network architecture includes 15 neurons along with 1 hidden and 1output layer to adjust inputs correlation efficiently. The result showed that dolomite quantity was dependent on MLSS concentration. Also, as a result, with increasing dolomite, CODremoval efficiency increased, but the efficacy of removal of turbidity decreased. Therefore, the optimum dolomite dosage has been determined by the standard quality of these parameters.
