Abstract: Construction a 64m high embankment dam with a vertical clay core (Eyvashan dam) in Iran is analyzed munerically. The analyzes were performed using the FLAC 2D computer code, which is based on the finite difference technique, and uses the E-B hyperbolic constitutive model to determine the dam material's mechanical behavior. This model using FLAC 2D is developed for modeling the actual implementation of the embankment as layered. The material's parameters are determined from the tri-axial tests of the rockfill, core, filter and transition materials, and the density of the solids and the content of the material. The non-linear model for the pore pressure response is successfully used to predict the high porosity of the core . The results of the analyzes are summarized as follows: the maximum settlement of the dam is about 27 centimeters in the middle part of the dam's height, and the consolidation settlement of the core is equal to 20 centimeters
