Abstract: The present study considers the equilibrium load pattern dependence with the variation of the frame design and seeks for its optimal pattern using a large sampling of the design space. The developed hyper optimization involves two phases: a) determination of loading pattern pattern; and b) the design of the design according to the pattern of the base shear distribution over the height of the frame. The method is therefore utilized for the hybridization of the harmony search, colony and branch & amp; Bound method. It is then applied to a number of steel moment frames. The results showed similar new patterns well superior to those in traditional codes, considering the distribution of drift / displacement response uniformity. In the newly arrived optimal designs, the seismic collapse starting point is transmitted to higher stories rather than the lower critical ones as in the traditional code designs
