Abstract: One of the important causes for failure of concrete structures in the Persian Gulf region is the diffusion of chloride in concrete. One of the parameters that can increase the diffusion of chloride ion is the level of diffusivity of the concrete. The prediction of a concrete diffusion factor is an important issue as a key parameter in the life cycle of concrete structures. Experimental method in this field have such problems as time consummation, high cost, lack of experimental tools, existence of uncomfortable ions during experiment, committing unwanted errors and distorting from true model. For this reason, in this research, the singular value decomposition (SVD) for the modeling of the diffusion of chloride ion in concrete has been used. The purpose of this modeling is to find a mathematical relation between a concrete diffusion coefficient with effective parameters on it which means the proportion of water per cement and percent of silica fume.
