Abstract: This paper describes a pioneering method for achieving a highly modified self-clean coating on traffic signs based on SiO2 / TiO2 nanocomposites. The addition of Fe-B pair as a co-doppant into the SiO2 / TiO2 mixed oxide improved photocatalytic activity in the region of UV and Vis light. In this research, the experimental design is used to show the effect of the coating process parameter on the chemical and physical properties of a self-clean surface. Characterization of the samples is performed by Transmission electron microscopy (TEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), and reflectometer. The photocatalytic activity is determined using Stearic acid and Methyl orange as a model compound for degradation reaction.
