Abstract: Welding is inevitable in the construction of bridges. In other words, in the welded structures there is a possibility of flattening of the lamellae after welding, so the evaluation of its evaluation seems to be very important. Lamellar tearing is a type of the crack which occurs with the reciprocal effect of the anistropy in the hot rolled and the giant stresses, the first on the most important stage of the lamellar tearding occurrence is the crack initiation or cavity nucleation which its study seems to be more In this research, the critical stresses of the cavity nucleation, which is responsible for the lamellar tearing occurrence, were caluated using microstructural banding and making the tensile apecimens perpendicular to the banding layers.
