Abstract: An element free Galerkin method (EFG), which is presented by a mesh-less method, analyzes the model frequencies of stiffened tin plates. The present method uses a moving least square approximation to construct shape functions based on a set of nodes scattered in the problem domain. The dynamic equations of the system are formulated using the element free Galerkin method. A numerical example is presented to demonstrate the convergence and efficiency of the present method.
