Abstract: The solubility of Acridine in supercritical carbon dioxide was measured at temperatures ranging from 313 to 333 K and pressures in the range of 120 to 350 bar using a static method. At a desired temperature above the crossover region, the solubility of the compound increases by increasing pressure. The experimental data were correlated using a equation and also the Peng-Robinson equation of state (EOS) using several mixing-empirical rules. The Peng-Robinson (EOS) provides a better solubility prediction than a semi-empirical model.
