Abstract: The complexity of management of organizations, encouraging long-term strategic planning to address internal and external issues. Environmental monitoring, strategic thinking, strategic deception and planning are strategic planning requirements. Identification of various aspects of strategic thinking in the organization provides a clear understanding of strategic planning formanagers. This study is to identify the factors affecting the strategic thinking of managers and experts in the School of Medical Sciences and Health Services at Shahid Beheshti University. The study is based on the Descriptive-survey method. 250 employees and managers of the faculty of medical sciences and health services of Shahid BehshtiUniversity are the statistical population of the survey. The sample size of the study was estimated as 148 people using the Cochran's sample size formula. The study used random sampling methods. A standard questionnaire based on the Goldman model used for data collection.An 402 questions in 5 point Likert scale were used .The reliability of the questionnaire was estimated as 0.89 using Cronbach's alpha coefficient.Moreover, in order to data analysis, the correlation test with SPSS22software was used. The research hypothesis is to review the significance and impact of each identified strategic thinking inorganization. According to the analysis of this study, there is a profound and positive relationship between education and conceptualthinking. It means that the level of conceptual thinking and foresightincreases along with the level of education. There is also a negative and meaningful relationship between aging and foresight, which means that the level of foresight decreases by aging. Considering the significanceand determining role of strategic thinking within an organization, the results also show that among the factors in this study, clever thinkingwas the most important factor followed by foresight, systematic thinking and conceptual thinking next rank.
