Abstract: Anion exchange membrane is one of the most important parts of solid alkaline fuel cell. In this study, anion exchange membranes were prepared by chloromethylation, amination and alkalization. For this membrane, trimethylamine and 1,6-tetra hexanediamine were used as amination agents that provided anion exchange sites on the polysulfone backbone. The anion exchange membrane characterizations were performed with hydroxide conductivity at different temperatures, ion exchange capacity and activation energy for hydroxide ion transport.
